PowerTalks Institute
The PowerTalks Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurial studies is a unique establishment that is set up primarily as an outreach to empower young people and to prepare them for taking up leadership roles in the society. The three month program covers topics like the laws of vision, the laws of purpose, goal setting, faith, budgeting and financial planning, personal grooming and branding among others. We have a team of facilitators who also serve as mentors to the students.
The students are told at the beginning of the class to get into groups and each group becomes the ‘company’ that they will work with during the entire duration of the program. There is a ‘Bank’ from which they can get financial help and there is a ‘Government’ who sets the policies. Each ‘company’ is given some startup capital after defending their business idea before a panel of judges. The company selects their own executive officers and they are made to operate under conditions that are as close to reality as possible. These conditions include sometimes harsh economic conditions imposed by the ‘government’ which will force them to change direction and think out of the box.
No one leaves the institute the same. We are proud to be producing and molding the leaders that will take Africa into her glory years.
